Introducing Dr. Ginger Fisher, professor at University of Northern Colorado and workshop leader for

Dr. Ginger Fisher is an Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of Northern Colorado and the Director of UNC’s Master’s in Biomedical Science Program. She earned a Ph.D. in aquatic physiological ecology from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her early research focused on the physiology of aquatic organisms, and she has recently begun research in the area of bioeducation. She has won numerous awards, including the 2007 Donald Bletz Award for Outstanding Teaching, the 2013 Excellence in Advising Award, and the 2015 Excellence in Leadership Award. When not working, she enjoys hiking, biking, running and enjoying the great outdoors in Colorado.
